Love's Messenger reminds of unconditional love. The dove has been since ancient times a symbol of peace and love. In the Bible, the dove is a sign of God's forgiveness when it returned with an olive branch in its beak. When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, a dove hovered above him. The Holy Spirit is often depicted as a dove. Seven doves stand for the seven gifts of the Holy Ghost; power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise, therefore the dove is also often used as a symbol in baptism. In the clasp we put a small pear-shaped peridot. Even the pigeon's eyes carry small sparkling peridots.
