Fatima's Hand, also known as Hamsa, is a symbol used in the Middle East and North Africa, and is both a Muslim and a Jewish symbol. Fatima was the youngest daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, and within Islam, the five fingers symbolize the five pillars of Fatima's hand - prayer, fasting, confession, pilgrimage, and the alms. In Judaism it is called Miriam's Hand and symbolizes divine protection and is considered to bring luck. In Fatima's Hand we have placed a ruby.
Ruby encourages passion and a zest for life. It improves motivation and setting of realistic goals. It balances the heart and instills confidence. It promotes positive dreams and clear visualization. Ruby is a protective stone and shields the heart energy.
