The Serenity Prayer is a christian prayer written by the American priest and theologist Reinhold Niebuhr in 1926. Most often, the shortened version of the prayer is used.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference".
The prayer is often used within the twelve-step movement by for example Anonymous Alcoholics, Anonymous Addicts etc.
The black material in the cross is wolframcarbid, also called tungsten carbide. The carbide is a very grounding substance with strong protective characteristics. It is said to protect against radiation and negative energies.
